Antibodies are one of the essential reagents used in most life sciences and biomedical applications such as western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, ELISA, and immunofluorescence. However, the same antibodies are also responsible for the reproducibility crisis faced by numerous scientists across the globe and costing their valuable time and money.

To address the reproducibility crisis, Springer Nature Experiments launched a beta solution that profiled top cited antibodies. To further help with the problem, we interact with scientists and analyzing their journey on the Springer Nature Experiments platform. We observed that in order to make an informed decision and select an antibody, scientists searched for published protocols and methods that used antibodies in various applications.

To ease the process of finding and evaluating protocols based on antibodies, we are excited to announce that we have launched antibody-specific search and filters on Springer Nature Experiments. Springer Nature Experiments now recognizes an antibody as a concept in search queries as well as a dedicated filter on antibodies. This is empowering for scientists who specifically search for an antibody as a reagent.

We developed cutting-edge machine learning algorithms to identify and extract antibodies Springer Nature protocols and methods portfolio. We further curated the extracted dataset to ensure that identified antibodies are specifically used in experiments.

Search by antibodies

For finding protocols and methods that use antibodies, key in the name of an antibody in the search box and click enter.

Antibody filter on the search page

Alternatively, to directly find protocols that use antibodies, apply the antibody filter on the search page. The antibody filters can be used alone or in combination with other filters such as techniques and organisms. This allows researchers to refine the protocols list further and select protocols that use the antibody of interest along with other filtered parameters.
